If it is any different to this assumption please let me know and I will assess if it significantly alters the appraisal. I will assume that save for the usual maintenance associated with regular tuning this piano is essentially as originally built. Thus one of the overriding factors in any appraisal valuation is the type and standard of the original build mechanics plus their age and condition. The life of these instruments can often be extended by careful regular maintenance/tuning/repairs and some restoration over the years or a total re-build/restoration of the major mechanical components. Considering the maker, age, size, description and used piano market, I would recommend a selling range today of approximately $450-$700 USD. Yours has an interesting design that is more unique than many others made in this period. The smaller size meant lower price and helped keep many companies afloat. After the great depression in the US, the piano companies which were still in business were trying to appeal to a wider market and they did so by offering these shorter spinet pianos. The serial number dates this piano to 1941.
